Epic Day at Doublin Gap Motocross Park

RyanRacin – Youtube

After 10 years of not stepping foot on a motocross track, a buddy and I brought our 450s up to Doublin Gap Motocross Park located in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania for a fun Saturday practice session at one of my new favorite places to ride.

The entire track was very enjoyable and super laid back for someone like me who is coming (basically) right off the couch, apart from some generic gym training. No gnarly/scary jumps, quality dirt, and a surprisingly long lap time that ensures you’re not hitting the same few corners all day – is what stood out to me the most.

Unfortunately, the weather didn’t quite hold up to the forecast. We were expecting low to mid-60s with sunny skies, which ended up as 50-something and overcast. This worked out fine, however, as it was plenty warm enough to ride and the grey skies allowed the track to stay moist throughout the entire day.

Overall, I would totally recommend this track to riders of any skill level (or age), considering there is also a kids/pitbike track conveniently located right in the bottom lot of the pits. You’ll find a concession stand with food and snacks on the premises to keep you and the family full and energized. RV hook-ups as well as dry camping spots are available with the dry spots being free.

For anyone interested in visiting this facility, I will list all important information below.
